A more collaborating Datawarehousing Experience with SQL query sharing via links or gists

Hi Data crunchers,

Hue’s SQL Editor for Datawarehouse helps you quickly visualize and use these instructions via its assists and autocomplete components. It recently got better support for typying SQL queries by showing column keys. The latest improvements is about better collaboration.

Via the document sharing capabilities and query parameterization, Hue allows teams to build their own query bank of knowledge. To complement this, something quicker and easier isnow also available: Public link & Gist sharing.

Assist All Keys

Goal: quickly share saved reports, customer analysis, people can see the results, tweak queries on their own, update queries after sharing

No need to select groups or list of invidual users Read, write Not showing up in document list Can be turned off globally Can be combined with traditional user/group sharing

SQL Snippet - Gist

Goal: quick share of SQL snippets, with link to editor

  • Any snippet one or more query, get link + content preso mode
  • Slack unfurling
  • Store in Gist directory
